Randia Youth Centre (RYC) is a non-profit organization dedicated
to improving lives through education, livelihood, health, and women empowerment
initiatives across Assam and the Northeast.
About Us
Randia Youth Centre (RYC) is a registered non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization founded on 29th December 1990 by a group of educated youth of Assam. Registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Reg. No. RS/3545/1990-91), RYC works for the socio-economic development, health, education, and empowerment of marginalized communities across Assam and Northeast India.
Vision
To create self-sustaining, viable producer groups and empower rural communities to achieve economic self-sufficiency through their inherent skills, crafts, and entrepreneurship.
Mission
To improve the quality of life of underprivileged people in Assam by promoting education, health, livelihood, women empowerment, and cultural preservation through sustainable community-based initiatives.
Our Objectives
Among the 31 objectives in our Memorandum of Association, key focus areas include:
- Providing service and treatment for poor patients and awareness on HIV/AIDS.
- Organizing camps, workshops, and awareness programs on moral and social values.
- Promoting socio-economic development through animal husbandry, handloom, handicrafts, and agriculture.
- Empowering youth and women to fight social evils like drugs and alcoholism.
- Supporting orphans, differently-abled children, and women’s welfare.
- Preserving traditional tribal arts, dances, and indigenous crafts.
- Establishing educational and training institutions for poor and marginalized communities.
